Another facet of Hakeem Abdul Hameed’s contribution is provided by the 150-bed Majeedia Hospital, set up in memory of the late Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed. The Majeedia Hospital is also a part of the sprawling complex of Hamdard Nagar and is a modem hospital. Besides, Majeedia Hospital also provides consultancy services in Unani medicine.

Majeedia Hospital also runs Rufaida School of Nursing which was established in 1983 by Hakeem Abdul Hameed to popularise this noble profession among Indian Muslims who were initially reluctant to send their girls to this profession. But soon it got momentum, grew over the years and became a full-fledged Faculty of Nursing. |

A significant and highly contemporary feature of this Hospital is the efficiency- oriented architectural planning of its various Departments and Faculties. The wards, operation theaters, examining rooms, laboratories etc., radiate across concentric corridors from central control units on each of its three floors. |
